Today I drove the honor patrol boys and safety girls to Disneyland. The bus drive was a good one, it took 1-3/4 hours. I had a chance to read my Bible and take a nap after Mr. Parmelee and the kids entered the park.

At the park, it has been fun exploring downtown Disney. This is something I have never done before because day camp boys would rather experience the park itself instead of shop and hang out in hotel lobbies like I am doing now. The lobby of Disneyland's Grand Hotel is really nice! It reminds me of the old national park hotels such as Rocky Mountain National Park.

One sad note of the day is that I heard Caleb will not be counseling this year - there simply are not enough openings for Faith Baptist to employ him :-( While this is disappointing, I know that God has a purpose in it all and that His will has not been frustrated. I am looking forward to seeing where Caleb's new ministry will be. Meanwhile, I am resolved to be more enthusiastic about camping with the boys - I know this is what Caleb would do if he had the opportunity to do so.
